CodeBurner for Firebug

CodeBurner is a Firefox add-on that integrates with Firebug, to extend it with reference material for HTML and CSS.

The extension's core functionality is centered around a new Reference panel, which contains a search tool for looking up HTML elements, attributes, and CSS properties.

The extension also hooks into context-menus in the HTML and CSS panels, the DOM crumbtrail, and the Inspector, adding options to look up a selected item (ie. search for it in the Reference panel) or to view a code example.

FirePHP IconFirePHP enables you to log to your Firebug Console using a simple PHP method call.

FirePHP is ideally suited for AJAX development where clean JSON or XML responses are required. All data is sent via a set of X-FirePHP-Data response headers. This means that the debugging data will not interfere with the content on your page.

You must have Firebug installed and the "Net" panel enabled to use this extension. You must also download a PHP library from http://www.firephp.org/HQ/

Pixel Perfect

Pixel Perfect is a Firefox/Firebug extension that allows web developers and designers to easily overlay a web composition over top of the developed HTML. By toggling the composition on and off, the developer can visually see how many pixels they are off in development.

Pixel Perfect also has an opacity option so that you can view the HTML below the composition. By being able to see both
the composition and the HTML you can now simultaneously use Firebug while Pixel Perfect is still in action.

One can also conveniently query the document currently loaded in the current Firefox tab/window, and if it is poorly formed HTML, it may still be possible to query, since the extension will use Firefox to attempt to convert the HTML into a well-formed (but not validated) document.

Xquery Use Me

You can write your own scripts, too. Check out http://wiki.greasespot.net/ to get started.

Automatically find Greasemonkey scripts on Userscripts.org

When you visit a web page that has compatible user scripts on Userscripts.org, this extension will highlight the Greasemonkey icon in the status bar. Right click the Greasemonkey icon and choose the "X scripts available" item to see and install the scripts available for the current page.

XHTML Mobile Profile

Firefox does not natively support the mime-type application/vnd.wap.xhtml+xml. This is one of the possible mime-types for XHTML Mobile Profile. This extension adds support for this mime-type.

To use this effectively, you will need to modify the user agent string to spoof a mobile device that supports the required content type. For this, use Modify Headers (http://modifyheaders.mozdev.org/) or the User Agent Switcher (http://useragentswitcher.mozdev.org/).

Print Hint

This extension helps you to quickly find printer-friendly versions of webpages. A green icon indicates the presence of a 'print stylesheet'. Webpages with a print stylesheet have been specifically formatted for printing. Click on the green icon to print.
