Nice collection of free fonts! Though the title of the post is a bit misleading since there are serif, sans-serif, and slab fonts in this post.

I would caution that the top Serifa fonts are actually commercial typefaces and not freeware. They were designed by Bitstream and available on MyFont for $50:
